Terms of Dorking

Welcome to Dorking Vehicle Hire Services. These Terms of Service (Terms) govern your use of our website carhiredorking.co.uk and our vehicle rental services. By using our services

1. Dorking Agreement

All vehicle rentals with Dorking are governed by a detailed Rental Agreement provided at booking confirmation or at vehicle collection. That agreement sets out the specific terms, conditions, insurance information, applicable charges, and your responsibilities for the particular rental. If there is any conflict between these Terms and the Rental Agreement, the Rental Agreement will prevail.

2. Dorking Eligibility

To rent a vehicle from Dorking, you must:

  • Be at least 21 years old to hire a vehicle from Dorking (age restrictions may vary by vehicle type, with additional charges possible for drivers under 25). Hold a valid, full driving licence appropriate to the vehicle category, held for the minimum period set out in the Rental Agreement. Provide valid identification and proof of address or any other documentation required at collection...

3. Reservation and Payment

  • Bookings can be made via our website, by phone, or in person at our Dorking office. A booking deposit may be requested to confirm your reservation. Full payment and the security deposit are normally collected when the vehicle is handed over. All prices are quoted in British Pounds (£) and include VAT where applicable.

4. Vehicle Collection and Return — Dorking

  • You must inspect the vehicle on collection from Dorking and report any pre-existing damage immediately. A vehicle condition report will be prepared and signed by both you and a Dorking representative. Return the vehicle in the same condition as at collection, allowing for normal wear and tear. Any new damage will be assessed and charged to you.

5. Insurance and Liability for Dorking

  • Basic third-party insurance is included with all Dorking rentals. Full coverage information and any excess amounts are detailed in the Rental Agreement. Additional insurance options may be offered to lower your potential out-of-pocket cost. Please review these options carefully before signing. You are responsible for damage or loss up to the excess specified in the Rental Agreement.

6. Cancellation and Changes — Dorking

Dorking's cancellation and amendment policies vary by booking type and notice period. Refer to your booking confirmation or Rental Agreement for specific details. Late cancellations or no-shows may result in charges.

7. Dorking Restrictions

You must not use a Dorking vehicle for:

  • Any illegal purpose or activity involving a Dorking vehicle. Racing, rallying, off-roading, or other hazardous activities. Transporting hazardous or dangerous materials. Sub-letting to third parties or allowing unauthorized drivers. Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Use of the vehicle for purposes for which it is not intended.

Violating Dorking's restrictions may result in immediate rental termination and additional charges.

8. Limitation of Dorking’s Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by English and Welsh law, Dorking Vehicle Hire Services is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or loss of profits, data, or business, arising from your use of our services. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the total fees paid by you for the relevant service in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Governing Law (Dorking)

These Terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, with proceedings to be brought before courts having jurisdiction in Dorking.

10. Changes to Dorking Terms

Dorking may amend these Terms at any time. Amendments take effect immediately upon posting on Dorking's website. Your continued use of Dorking's services constitutes acceptance of the amended Terms.
